Jin Akanishi is going to debut in Hollywood by starring in the remake of "47 Ronin". The movie is scheduled for November 21st, in 2012. The main cast includes Keanu Reeves, Hiroyuki Sanada, Kou Shibasaki, Tadanobu Asano und Rinko Kikuchi. Jin will be "Ooishi Chikara", the son of Ooishi Kuranosuke (Sanada Hiroyuki), and also an ally of Kai (Keanu Reeves). The movie is presented by Universal Pictures and is a Carl Erik Rinsch film.

An 18th century set story centered on a band of samurai who set out to avenge the death of their master.

I am really excited that this work based on such an important subject for Japanese
people as "47RONIN" is going to become an epic Hollywood production, and that
it will also be presented in 3D. Being able to co-star with Keanu and other brilliant
actors, and all together to weave a worldwide production makes me feel a sense of
fulfillment. From now on I want to sharpen my sensibility, and to push forward
